The latest KEYDIY KD-X4 software update, released on August 3, 2026, adds TIB Smart Key Direct Cloning for compatible Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru 8A smart keys. The new function allows an original (OEM) key to be cloned directly to a KEYDIY TIB remote, while retaining all original key functions and eliminating the need for remote programming.

Before using the new function, keep these points in mind:
- The direct cloning function is designed for original (OEM) keys to KEYDIY TIB remotes.
- TIB remotes only are supported. TB Remotes cannot be used for this function.
- KD-MAX also receives the same TIB 8A smart key cloning upgrade.
- After cloning, no vehicle programming is required.

Can I use a TB remote instead of a TIB remote?
No. This function supports TIB remotes only. According to KEYDIY, TIB can generate some remotes that TB cannot, such as a Volvo 8A chip key, and also replaces the TDB remote.
Does KD-MAX support the same function?
Yes. KD-MAX receives the same upgrade for TIB 8A smart key direct cloning.
Is programming required after cloning?
