We received feedback that KD MP may encounter the “Self-Check Failed” error when using the KEYDIY KD-MP MQB Tool to read MQB keys. If the device can identify the key but fails during the reading process, the issue is usually related to key positioning or signal sensing.
Here are a few quick things you can try:
1. Try Different Angles
Place the MQB key in the induction area and try slightly adjusting the angle or position. In some cases, the sensing area may not align perfectly, which can cause the reading process to fail.
2. Do Not Connect a 12V Power Supply
When reading MQB keys, do not connect an external 12V power supply, as it may interfere with the sensing process.
3. Use the Optimised PC Software
