Both new models support NXP NCF29A7 and NCF29A8 chips, while offering two different key designs for easier selection.

The C29A7 series is designed specifically for NXP NCF29A7 and NCF29A8 smart keys.
C29A701 → Model 01 rectangular design
C29A771 → Model 71 car-shaped design
The two models use the same NXP chip family but different physical designs, so selection is straightforward: match the NXP chip first, then choose the preferred key design.
C29A7 vs. C29AX: What’s the Difference?
The new C29A7 models expand the KEYDIY programmable smart key lineup alongside the existing C29AX01 and C29AX71.

So the physical appearance is not enough to identify the correct key. Check the original key’s NXP chip configuration first.

Compatibility Notes
The original vehicle key must use a single-chip configuration, and the vehicle must have keyless entry. These programmable smart keys support reading and writing original keys only; aftermarket keys cannot be read, and the keys are intended for smart key cloning rather than use as ZB remotes.
